Halloween Recap
- Woke up this morning to the most beautiful fall day you've ever seen. The leaves were blowing on the ground yet it was a warm 75 degrees out at 8am this morning! This weather instantly put CJ and I in a great mood. It was a little bit cloudy and windy but super warm.
- Went to work and laughed so hard at some of my coworker's great costumes. Ciege and I were "duds" and didn't dress up, but it was great trying to have a meeting this morning while my coworkers were in costume...
From MISC - Worked for about half the day and then took the rest of the day off. I LOVE taking half days on Fridays and today was the perfect day for it.
- Ate lunch at Los Betos Mexican restaurant. We have a love/hate relationship with this place. CJ and I love it because they have yummy authentic food for really cheap. But we hate it because it always leaves us feeling sick later in the day....price you pay for good Mexican food or do we need to venture out to other Mexican food establishments???
- Dropped CJ off at home (he had some work to do) and I headed off to the DMV because we were one day away from our car registration expiring. And every time we need to renew, I always wait until the last minute to do so. I HATE the DMV! And that makes me procrastinate going even more.
- Also had to get my car emissions tested. I HATE this too! :) And for some reason, the service was really bad and I ended up spending about 30 minutes trying to get the stinking test done. I politely expressed my dissatisfaction to the attendant and they gave me a free emissions test! Cha-ching - that is $15 that can go toward fun stuff! :) I guess it really pays to speak your mind every now and again.
- Headed over to the Craft Warehouse to pick up some supplies to make time capsules for a little gathering I am having with a few of my scrapbooking buddies. More to come on that after tomorrow....
- On the way home, I heard Michael Jackson's "Thriller" song and thought it very appropriate to fling my arms wildly in the car while driving and dancing to the song. I had a lot of fun and laughed as I noticed cars passing by giving me the stink eye.
- Went over to Craig and Nona's house for some dinner & pumpkin carving. Well they were having dinner and I needed to carve our pumpkin, so I brought my pumpkin over there and worked on it while Craig Sr. and Craig Jr. played "World of Warcraft". The Craigs have been very much into this game lately and it is cute to see them so excited about the game.
- I had a pumpkin carving kit which had a bunch of templates. I decided to choose the hardest template in the bunch because I thought "How hard can it be?". So 3 hours later, I ended up with a modified version of a spooky Halloween tree....
From MISC - Drove home with Ciege and enjoyed his company.
- Set up my newly carved pumpkin with a tea light, lit it, turned all of lights off, and squealed with joy at my creation. Ran down stairs to get Ciege (who was already on the computer playing World of Warcraft) to show him how cool it looks. Even he was surprised!
From MISC - Setup for my scrapbooking night tomorrow.
- Hopped on the computer and checked out my Facebook page. I'm really loving that silly Facebook. It took me so long to adopt it because I thought it was just for the myspacer teeny bopper kiddos, but I'm really loving being able to connect with people. Just yesterday I added a friend who I have been talking to on the phone yet have never met in person. It was great to see her family photos and put a face to her voice. I'm loving that Facebook is connecting me with lots of people and keeping me constantly updated on what other people are up to. I think social networking is a good thing after all and think that any tools that help you connect to people are really cool.
- And phew! It's 12:57am and WAY past my bedtime. I'm so exhausted I can barely keep my eyes open, so I'll retire to bed. I wonder how long the hubby will be fighting his villains in the World of Warcraft game! Also, I am excited because today is November 1, which means that we are only one month away from seeing the Smashing Pumpkins live in concert for their 20th anniversary tour...AND we'll be celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary at the same time. But more to come on that later...
Love you all and hope you all had a great Halloween.

I totally agree with you on the DMV thing. I'm all about doing the registration online, baby.
Sounds like a good Halloween. :)
